Play Alter
Easy install for Windows
Download the ZIP, extract it, run the installer, then open RSProx and launch Alter with RuneLite.
Use Easy Install, then choose Alter (228.2), keep Default, switch the client to RuneLite, and press Play.
1. Download Easy Install and extract Alter-Setup.zip.
2. Run Alter-Setup.exe and let it finish installing RSProx.
3. In RSProx select Alter (228.2).
4. Leave the middle dropdown on Default.
5. Change the right dropdown to RuneLite.
6. Press the green Play button.
If Microsoft Defender or SmartScreen blocks the ZIP or installer:

Keep in the browser download warning, then in Windows Security open
Protection history and choose
Allow on device for the blocked file.
If RuneLite still does not launch, install the Microsoft Visual C++ x86 runtime:
vc_redist.x86.exe.
If needed on a test machine, add a Defender exclusion for your extracted installer folder and
%USERPROFILE%\.rsprox.
